System Administration with around 4 years of experience on P595's, P550's, and P570's is a must. Experience with any of the following: EMC Storage, Patrol, Netbackup, and ADIC tape systems is highly desirable. Requires AIX Unix experience along with IT support experience. Duties include the following, but not limited to: Support technical writing team developing detailed step-by-step test cases. Perform and report testing within a validated environment. Skills required: - Installation, maintenance, and configuration of AIX v5 systems - Experience supporting both medium (p550/570) and large (p595) pSeries systems - AIX v5 performance and tuning exposure and experience preferred - AIX HACMP hands-on exposure and experience (more than one year) required - pSeries LPAR definition hands-on exposure and experience (more than one year) required - Experience with pSeries Systems and AIX in a SAN environment strongly preferred - Experience in AIX v5 network configuration and maintenance methods (including NIM) required Other preferred qualifications: - Experience supporting an IBM - SAP installation and infrastructure a strong plus - Experience with Veritas NetBackup and ADIC tape libraries strongly preferred - Experience with BMC/Patrol a plus - Experience working in a validated environment (the system is a SAP implementation that is validated as per Good Manufacturing Practices) a strong plus - Experience in installation, management, and support of a large EMC-based SAN environment strongly preferred - Exposure to and working experience with EMC tools SRDF and Time Finder in an AIX/EMC Symmetrix environment strongly preferred Other information: Ability to work independently or in a team as needed to build and test AIX environments Ability follow detailed instructions (LINS, TIPS, Test Plans, Test Cases, etc.) Ability to communicate clearly and accurately about issues that arise with the build process and/or defects that arise in testing
Above mentioned duties require at least a Bachelor's degree (or the equivalent) in directly and closely related field.
